About Rebecca Lee Smith

Rebecca lives in the beautiful, misty mountains of East Tennessee, where the people are soulful, charming, and just a little bit crazy. She spent a lot of years in the trenches as a stay-at-home mom, hanging on to her sanity by working in a community theater at night and following her bliss writing books with happy endings. Her two remarkable sons are now grown and busy following their own bliss but still take time to drop by and make her laugh till her sides ache. Her husband took an early retirement (which didn't stick) so they could travel the world while they were still young enough to wander through the Coliseum, kiss the Blarney Stone, climb Bavarian castles, and hike through the Redwood Forest without injuring something that would be hard to replace. In addition to friends and family, Rebecca credits her membership in Romance Writers of America for keeping her focused and encouraged on the long road to publication. Her Southern roots and the affectionate, abiding appreciation she has for the rural towns she lives near inspire the settings and characters she writes about.
