Montgomery Series

Broken-hearted, Andie Sinclair escapes to England and a new life, leaving her ex-fiancé in Philadelphia. Crossing paths with the notorious rake Gerard Montgomery was never part of her plans. When another man asks for her hand she must choose between the man she wants and the one who professes his love.

Gerard Montgomery, Viscount Bridgeton, has also risked his heart and lost, but Andie stirs something in him much stronger than lust. However, proving he can be trusted without hurting her will be difficult, especially when a desperate man sets his sights on Andie. Can he prove his love before the only woman he’s ever loved makes the most dangerous mistake of her life?

Excerpt:

“Gerard, if you do not release me this instant, I’ll…” What would she do? Scream? If she did, and anyone actually heard her, she only ran the risk of looking like a ninny for sitting out in the freezing cold with a rake like Lord Bridgeton.

He stared at her, eyes glittering like black pearls in the half-light. “What is it you’re going to do, Andie?”

“I don’t know,” she admitted with a shrug as she jerked her hand free. “But I should go inside. It must be late.”

“You should. I’ll even see you to the door.”

With that, he rose, stepping before her to catch both her hands in his and draw her up. She didn’t realize her mistake until it was too late, as his arms closed about her to gather her close. A silver cloud of frost puffed from his lips as he murmured, “Andie,” and his lips caught hers in a gentle kiss.

He didn’t allow her the chance to protest, crushing her closer, his arms unyielding. Not that it mattered, for she wasn’t about to do anything of the sort. Instead, she welcomed him and leaned into him to accept what he offered.

His lips were warm and dry as they moved against hers. He bent her back slightly, her body limber and agreeable as she surrendered. She slid her arms about him, beneath his greatcoat, around his narrow waist. Her palms lay flat against his back, warm beneath smooth, fine linen. Her fingers curled, their tips pressing into firm flesh, smooth as polished stone and as hot as the sun. Thick, well-defined muscle bunched beneath his shirt, and she had the maddest urge to tug his shirt from his breeches, slide her hands beneath that fine fabric, and feel his skin bare against her hands.
